Friday March 20th – a day to eclipse all others

A solar eclipse was witnessed by millions in the UK today.

The photograph below was taken at 0941 from our office reception window of the solar eclipse over Derby city centre. All parts of the UK were in line to see at least 83% of the Sun’s disc obscured by the Moon. The Derby area got a particularly good view as the weather was clear and visibility very good.

The UK will not see a solar eclipse on this scale again until 2026 – providing the British weather cooperates!
