September 2013 Update

This last quarter has seen good news finally in the housing market with buyers returning to the market in their greatest numbers in four years in July.
According to the Nationwide House Price Index, house prices increased by 0.6% in August but over 1.4% during the last quarter – its strongest pace since 2010!!
Downside to all the good news is that figures show that the stamp duty burden is set to grow with 40% of homebuyers paying more than £7,500 within five years as rising house prices will lead to a huge increase in the number of homes that will be subject to the higher rates of stamp duty.
Oh well we can’t have it all!
On a more personal level we are very proud to announce that a member of our support staff Linda Buckley ran the 10k Church Wilne race on Sunday 1 September and raised £104 for the Alzheimer’s Society.  Well done Linda.  As one of the older members of the team she has put the rest of us to shame!!
In a more relaxed manner Lisa Wills and Liz Knott helped to raise funds for NORSACA at their charity ball in July and were rewarded with a kiss from Paul Hollywood!
